depend

1.depend是不及物动词，后面接on或upon。例如：She used to depend (up)on her sister. The sciences depend up (on) each other.和It depends (up)on where they live. 第三句里的where they live是间接疑问句。在间接疑问句前面有人只用depend而没有on或upon，这是不妥当的。

2.可以说You may depend (up)on him to get everything ready for you。

3.可以说You may depend (up)on it that he will get everything ready for you。
