表达 “rue the day” 指 “对某个情况或经历感到极度的愤怒、悲痛和懊悔”，通常用来表达我们觉得他人做错了事情，因此会 “追悔莫及”。有时候也可以说 “rue the day that happened”。

• She will rue the day she bought that motorbike. It looks like it’s broken.
  她会后悔买了那辆摩托车的，看起来像是已经坏了。
• I can’t believe he spoke to me like that in the meeting. He will rue the day that happened.
