(1) overcome意思是“战胜，克服，压倒”，尤用于抽象的、精神方面的东西，如：fear, resistance, opposition, difficulties, obstacles, weakness, disinclination, a bad habit, temptation等。
(2) conquer意为“征服，夺取”，也指“战胜”，是用暴力取得，或者通过大的努力或斗争将某种东西置于自己的控制之下。可接nature, flood, a country, natural disasters, enemy, weather, the moon, erroneous ideas, fear (of heights), a habit, shyness等。
- They conquered the southern part of the Kingdom with comparative ease.
他们比较容易地征服了王国南部。 - Man has yet to conquer the stars.
人类还有待征服恒星。 - We must learn to conquer erroneous ideas through debate and reasoning.

(3) win是指通过某种努力“赢得”，可接a victory, a post, a war/battle, a prize, a game, a match, a bet, a praise, one's confidence/respect, rights, a reputation等。
