bare, bald, naked 与 nude 这些词都含有“秃”或“裸”的意思。
(1) bare指物体表面无遮盖、无装饰；或人的部分躯体裸露。
- Let's hang up some paintings on those bare walls.
我们在那几面空墙上挂几幅画吧。 - She was exhausted and her bare feet were stinging cruelly, but to stop would have been fatal.
她疲惫不堪，裸露的双脚疼痛不已，但是停下来的后果会更不堪设想。
(2) bald指土地、山等“光秃秃的，无草木的”，人秃头的，无头发的，或鸟兽无毛的。用于引申意义，表示“赤裸裸的”。
- We planted some trees on the bald hill.
我们在一座光秃秃的山上种了些树。 - This hair-tonic is a bald fraud; I'm as bald as ever.
这生发剂是赤裸裸骗人的玩意儿，我还是和以前一样秃。 - Our dog has a bald patch on its leg.

(3) naked指物体无通常所应有的遮盖物；指人一丝不挂。

(4) nude尤指为展示等目的而裸体的。
- I did some work as a nude model when I was in college.
