1.distinguish A and B和distinguish between A and B都可以说。在主动语态里用between普通些，在被动语态里不用between普通些。例如：We must carefully distinguish between the present participle and the gerund. 和The present participle and the gerund must be carefully distinguished.

2.distinguished（著名的、出众的）后面接for或by都可以，例如He is distinguished for（或by）his sound judgement。用for比用by普通。
