forgive

1.forgive往往带有双宾语。例如：We shall forgive him his offences. 但forgive的宾语后面不可直接接动名词，该在动名词前面加上for。例如：Forgive me for leaving some of your questions unanswered.

2.不可说Forgive me, for I have left some of your questions unanswered。该改作Forgive me for leaving（或having left）some of your questions unanswered。

3.Forgive me, but I am too busy to go out with you里的but不可改作其他词。
