impatient

1.impatient of... 是“对于…不耐烦的”，impatient for...是“急欲的、切望的”，如I am impatient of all this waiting和I am impatient for his arrival。impatient with是“对于…急躁的”。例如：I am sorry that I was a little impatient with her this morning. impatient to ... （不定式）是“急欲的、切望的”。例如：I am impatient to see him. 注意impatient后面不可接for和动名词，如不可说I am impatient for seeing him，该把for seeing改作to see。

2.impatient后有时接for和宾语和不定式。例如：The children are impatient for the train to start.

3.不可说He is impatient to wait for her，该说He is impatient in waiting for her或He is waiting for her impatiently。
