impress

1.impress有时作“给…以极深的印象”解。例如：He did not impress me at all. 和Did the girl impress the young man?

2.impress后面偶尔接以that引导的从句。例如：His parents try to impress upon him that it is necessary to be perfectly honest. 这种结构不算正当，可以把that it is necessary to be perfectly honest改作the necessity for perfect honesty。
