plead

1.plead的过去式和过去分词在英国作pleaded，在美国往往作pled。

2.“向（某人）恳求”该说plead with。例如：She pleaded with him for mercy.和He was pleading with me anxiously not to leave him behind.不可没有with，后面通常接for或不定式。

注意下面一句里在pleaded后面也用with：

• "Please come with me," she pleaded with me.

3.plead后面有时接以that引导的从句，那从句里有时用虚拟现在式。例如：He pleaded that his mother would allow him to go to the circus.和He pleaded that his mother allow（不用allowed）him to go to the circus.

4.He pleaded guilty to cheating里的to是介词，cheating不可改作cheat。
