walk out on是美国英语。

3.He is walking out with her和She is walking out with him直译作“他正在跟她一道走出去”和“她正在跟他一道走出去”。但英美人说这种话通常是“他正在向她求爱”和“她正在向他求爱”的意思。英美社会里通常只用于所谓的“下等”人。 由于家里房子小，人口多，或者在人家帮佣，没有谈情说爱的场所，只好“走出去”。

（1）five minutes' walk前面可以加上a。

（2）minutes'里的撇号可以省去。

（3）to可以改作from。

（4）加上了a可以把five minutes'改作five-minute。

5.I used to take him long walks in the country（在long walks前面没有on）主要是英国英语，在美国几乎总是有on。

6.walk on two legs（两条腿走路）里的on不可改作with。

7.walk of life（职业、界）比walk in life普通。
