French bread is an idealistic representative of French cuisine. The French are famous for their art of cook. They pay great attention to the details of every food they make, and the simple bread has its own rules of baking. France have strict rules for bread specifying that only combinations of flour, yeast, salt and water can be used in making bread. The French food industry forbids any preservatives to be used in making French bread. Therefore the bread may go stale much faster than other commercially prepared foods. But it is really good for health.

French bread is made from white wheat flour. A light, crusty bread is made with water instead of milk; an interior full of bubbles is due to the yeast to raise the bread. The dark brown, intensely crisp crust is created by brushing or spraying the loaf's exterior with water during the baking process. French bread comes in many shapes, including the classic long, thin baguette, rounds and fat ovals.The French love freshly baked bread from the bakeries for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late-night snack. With globalization, now French bread is being prepared across the world. Its crusty top makes it more delicious and adds pleasure at the dining table. The classic buttery taste and large size make it perfect to go with the dry foods of French cuisine, and to soak up the extra — rich gravies of gourmet French food.
