有人说这是一个错句，应改为：

(2)He had no difficulty in translating this article.

但我认为句（1）也不错，不知你以为如何？

have （no)difficulty in doing something （有时in可省去）是一常用说法，其中的difficulty是一不可数名词。句（1）也不错，其中的difficulties是一复形可数名词，意指这样或那样的困难，再如：

(3)In the mirror he could see a blue Merc having difficulties in keeping up, unable to overtake.
