答案是A，但 New York 比 Washington 大，是不是应选B呢？
这里没有城市大小的问题。事实上，这两个城市都不算小。指地点时，at 和 in 的主要区别在于前者强调“点”，后者强调“圈”（即范围）。 John 是路过 New York以抵达目的地 Washington 的。可见 New York 是他暂时停留的一个“点”，而其目的地 Washington 则是他进入的一个“圈”。所以，所给的答案是对的。at 常用以表示旅行路线上的一“点”，再如：
