有一读者问：for yourself 与 by yourself 有何不同？二者是否可以互换？
二者不可互换。for oneself 意指“为自己”，实例如：
(1)He built a new house for himself .
但常可译作“亲自”，实例如：
(2)Go and see for yourself .
有时亦可仅译作“自己”，实例如：
(3)Man in ancient times had to do almost everything for himself .
by oneself 意指“独自”或“独立”，实例如：
(4)He was standing by himself in a corner of the room.
(5)Did you put those shelves up all by yourself ? （all 在此用以加强语气）
