此句中的in应作何解释，语法上作什么？
我们手头无此书，故不知上下文如何。如无特殊情况，in that一般被看作是一短语连词，不再作内部分析，其义相当于because，再如：
(2)This is not a good plant for your garden in that its seeds are poisonous.
(3)The evidence is invalid in that it was obtained through illegal means.
