so's何意?

(1)Wants Daisy and me to hurry up and mussy so's she can have a rest.

so's指什么?

so's 相当于 so as,而so as在英语俗语(vulgar English)中常用以替代规范的so that,其后常接can或could。这种so as...can (could)从句常被用作目的状语。再如:

(2)I told him off so as he could hardly look me in the face.

(3)They are kicking up a row so as you can't hear the birds singing.

(4)I reckon Mrs. Spencer described it so's you could tell.

(5)But they made so pore a business of their fishing so as after this year they never more looked after them.

so与as亦可分割开,相当于so...that, 实例如:

(6)He was so bad a scribe as his hand was scarce legible.

(7)I can't see as you were to blame.

(8)— Did you ever know of anybody whose hair was red when she was young, but got to be another colour when she grew up?

— No, I don't know as I ever did.
