有一读者问： 要求比较一下下列两个句子的with best of intention to win the sympathy of his pupils与with his hands shivering：
(1)He failed with best of intention to win the sympathy of his pupils.
(2)He stood there with his hands shivering.
这两个句子中的with短语都是“with+宾语+补足语”结构，或称之为“独立结构”。所不同的是：句（1）中的独立结构是由“with+名词+不定式”所组成，句（2）中的独立结构则由“with+名词+现在分词”所组成。不定式与现在分词的区别在于：前者强调动作，后者强调状态。你对于“with+名（代）+现在分词”结构想必比较熟悉，这里就不再多举例说明了，但对“with+名（代）+不定式”结构你可能见得不多。其实这种结构也不罕见。除上述句（1）中的with best of intention to win...之外，再举一二实例如下：
