一般说来，应选择 don't they, 如在很正式的文体中，则应选择 doesn't he。 但在当今英语中，即使在书面语中，也有很多用 they 代表 everyone 以及 everybody, someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, no one, nobody, none 等的情况。
