词汇

a seed是“一粒种子”，seeds是“多粒种子”。

see的宾语后面的不定式没有to。例如：I often see him walk up the hill. 但假使把see改作被动语态，那不定式便该有to。

secure有时带有双宾语。例如：His services secured him a reward at length.

He is secretary to the Governor等句子里在secretary前面没有a，后面接to。

Please keep it secret (from him) 和Please keep it a secret (from him) 都可以说，都作“请把这件事［对他］保守秘密”解。

说“钟的秒针”该用second-hand，有连字号。

seat是及物动词，作“使…坐”解，seated＝sitting。

不该说spring season，summer season等，该把season删去。

seaside没有复数形式，注意at the seaside里用at，有the。

注意下面两句里的searched for和searched out不可对调。

seal the letter和seal the envelope都可以说。
