在小站前几天推送的 小词详解 | covert 中，稍微提了一下灌木林可以用 thicket 表示，别看 thicket 这个单词长得陌生，实际上就是由英语单词 thick （厚的、浓密的、茂密的）+ 名词性后缀 -et 构成，既可以指“灌木丛”也可以指“小树丛”，强调浓密生长在一起，比如：
- 丛林是动物的良好隐蔽处。
