desirable

1.It is desirable that...（…值得想望的）里用should或虚拟现在式。例如：It is desirable that he should take charge of the class.和It is desirable that he take（不用takes）charge of the class.

2.desirable和desirous不同，desirable是“值得想望的”，desirous是“想望的”。例如：When I told him I was desirous of going to the seaside, he said it was not desirable in that cold weather. （当我告诉他我想要到海边去的时候，他说在那么冷的天气里去是不值得的。）
