(1) 前三个短语均表示“记起、想起(某人或某事)”，多用于否定句。

• I can't seem to bring the name of the hotel to mind where we stayed last year.
  我好像记不起去年我们住的那家旅馆的名字了。
• I just can't call his face to mind at the moment.
  此时我就是想不起他的模样。
• I know him very well, but I can't recall his name to mind .
  我很了解他，可我却一时想不起他的名字。

 (2) (sth./sb.) come to mind意思是“被记起,被想起”。

• Although I know it very well, the name just won't come to mind .
  虽然我很了解它，可就是想不起它的名字。

 (3) go out of sb.'s mind意思是“被遗忘”。

• I don't remember his name — it's gone clean out of my mind .
  我不记得他的名字了——它被我忘记得一干二净了。
