区别辨析 have a good time, have a pleasant time, enjoy oneself 与 amuse oneself

(1) ①这些短语都表示“玩得痛快”,英国人常说have a pleasant/royal time。

  • We all had a good time during our holidays.
    假期里,我们全都玩得很愉快。
  • had a ripping good time in Beijing.
    我在北京玩得非常愉快。

②have a time短语中又可以用hard, difficult, dull, bad, trying, troublesome, pressing, miserable等形容词修饰time,表示处境艰难、活得无聊、悲惨等。

 (2) have a time doing sth. 等于have a hard/difficult time doing sth.,意为“费事、费劲做某事”。

  • Mary had (quite) a time trying to get her children to go to bed.
    玛丽费了很大劲才让孩子们上床睡觉。

 (3) have oneself a time等于have a good time(玩得痛快)。

  • She had herself a time dancing to her heart's content at the party.
    她在晚会上尽情地跳舞,玩得很高兴。

 (4) enjoy oneself用于某一次的场合。

  • Well, I hope you'll both enjoy yourselves .
    哦,我希望你们两个都玩得很开心。
  • Enjoy yourselves , children,” mother urged the guests at our party.
    “孩子们,痛痛快快地玩吧。”母亲鼓动着晚会上的客人。

 (5) amuse oneself意为“自娱自乐”。

  • The boys amused themselves (by) drawing caricatures of their teacher.
    这些男孩通过画他们老师的漫画来自娱自乐。

 (6) 其他的说法还有:enjoy a jolly good time, spend an agreeable time, have a delightful/high/glorious/jolly time, have a great/grand/wonderful time, have a perfectly lovely time 等。
