(1) quick用于动作，表示“快，迅速”，如：a quick answer, a quick recovery；也可用于人，意思是“(做事)快；(反应)聪明，敏捷”。

• He was quick to notice the mistake.

• He is a quick worker.

• He is quick at doing such things.

＊quick eye/ear是“敏锐的目光/耳朵”之意；a quick mind意为“聪明的头脑”。

 (2) fast可用于人或物，意思是“动作快，迅速，敏捷”。

• My watch is twenty minutes fast .
  我的表快了20分钟。
• He was such a fast runner that he beat all the others in the race.
  他跑得很快，在比赛中击败了所有其他的运动员。
• Is the 10:30 train a fast one?
  10：30的火车是趟快车吗？

 (3) speedy意为“快速的，(来临或完成)迅速的”。

• I wish you a speedy recovery from illness.
  愿你早日恢复健康。
• A speedy reply is one that comes without delay.
  一个迅速的回答就是不拖延的回答。
