right和wrong与rightly和wrongly一样也可用作副词。但rightly, wrongly一般用在所修饰的动词前；在其他位置上时一般用right, wrong，不过有时也用-ly的形式。

• Do you think he did right/rightly?
   你认为他做得对吗？
• They rightly assumed that he would refuse to help.
  他们认定，他将拒绝给予帮助，这是不错的。
• I can't rightly recollect whether he said that or not.
  我记不起他是否讲过那话。
• He was punished, and (very) rightly so.
  他受到了惩罚，并且罪有应得。

＊但在下列句子中，两组词习惯上不能换用：

• He is wrongly informed about the matter.
  他被错误地告知了这件事。
• He wrongly refused to accept the offer.
  他错误地拒绝了这项建议。
• It served him right!
  他活该！
• Everything went right with him.
  他一切顺利。
