 (2) immeasurable指“(由于太大、太重要、太多等原因而)不能衡量的、无法估量的、无限的”。

• Immeasurable quantities of natural resources have been lost for ever because of human misuse.
  由于人类的滥用，无数自然资源永远失去了。
• Distances in an infinite universe would be literally immeasurable .
  在无限的宇宙中，距离简直是无法衡量的。
