It was six o’clock in the evening. No one was left in the museum.
晚上六点,博物馆里没人了。

Joseph Maenads, the curator, was making rounds, checking to see that everything was all right. Suddenly, Joseph saw something on the floor. He walked over to see what it was.

What do you think he saw? He saw a beautiful abstract painting lying there. Joseph showed the painting to the director of the museum. The director asked him a couple of questions.“ Where did you find this?”

No one claimed the painting, so the director decided to hang it in the abstract art division of the museum.

All the experts came to review the painting. Each one said it was beautiful and had very deep meaning. The director was proud to have such a painting in his museum. He congratulated Joseph on his discovery.
所有专家都来参观这幅画。大家都说这幅油画太美了,而且寓意深刻。有这样一幅作品在博物馆里,馆长颇为自豪。他祝贺约瑟夫的发现。

Several weeks later, a woman came to the museum with her five-year-old son.
几周后,一位妇女带着五岁的儿子来到博物馆。

While they were looking at the new painting, the little boy began to cry bitterly. The director came over to the child and asked: “Why are you crying?” The child pointed to
the painting and said, “I’m crying because that’s my painting on the wall, and I want it back.”
