[注] 说某人 particular，是指他或她在选择东西时"挑剔"，在吃、穿等方面"讲究"，或指出人"很难取悦"等。又如：

他对吃什么很讲究。 - She's so particular that no one can please her.
她非常刻薄以至于没有人能取悦她。
说某人 peculiar，是指他或她"古怪"或"乖僻 (strange, odd)，如行为古怪、性情乖僻等。例如：
- He is of a peculiar disposition.
他是一个性情古怪的人。
