Gossip Girl , an American teen drama television series, is created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, adapted from the book series of the same name by Cecily von Ziegesar. It has received numerous award nominations, winning 18 Teen Choice Awards. By 17 December, 2012, the CW Television Network (The CW) has premiered for six seasons. All of the episodes' titles are based on the name of a film or a novel. For example, Episode “The Age of Dissonance” is titled after Edith Wharton's novel The Age of Innocence.

The series mainly follows the lives of the five wealthy and privileged teenage characters in their high school years. The narrator is Gossip Girl, the omniscient blogger, voiced by Kristen Bell. Each episode begins with the home page of the Gossip Girl website. During each episode, there is always a social event taking place, whether small or large.

The story begins with the return of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who is a longtime friend and occasional rival of Blair Waldorf's (Leighton Meester). Blair is a prep school student and planning on entering Yale University. In her spare time, she and her friend attends fancy parties with their parents. She seems to have a perfect life. However, with Serena's coming back from the boarding school, Blair's life changes.
