普林斯顿大学
Princeton University is a private Ivy League research university in Princeton, New Jersey. Founded in 1746 as the College of New Jersey, Princeton was the fourth chartered institution of higher education in the American colonies and thus one of the nine Colonial Colleges established before the American Revolution. The institution moved to Newark in 1747, then to the current site nine years later, where it was renamed Princeton University in 1896. Princeton had close ties to the Presbyterian Church, but has never been affiliated with any denomination and today imposes no religious requirements on its students. By endowment per student, Princeton is the wealthiest school in the United States.

The university's library system houses over eleven million holdings including seven million bound volumes. The main university library, Firestone Library, which houses almost four million volumes, is one of the largest university libraries in the world.

By 2013, Princeton has been associated with thirty-seven Nobel laureates, seventeen National Medal of Science winners, two Abel Prize winners, nine Turing Award laureates, three National Humanities Medal recipients and two hundred and four Rhodes Scholars. From 2001 to 2015, Princeton University was ranked either first or second among national universities by U. S. News & World Report , holding the top spot for 13 of those 15 years.
