有一读者问：
(1)There he taught them their first important lesson on students of chemistry.
这一句中的as students of chemistry是介词短语还是them的同位语？下面一句是否相仿？
(2)I wrote him a letter as a teacher of English.
上述两句的结构相似，不能算错，只是as短语离它所指的代词稍远了些。这种as似乎已被很多人认作介词，所以上述两句中的as短语皆可看作介词短语，分别用作间接宾语them和him的补足语，看作同位语亦可。
