at the end of the week 与 by the end of the week 之区别

有一读者问：有这样一道题：

A. at　B. by　C. to　D. till

答案为A，但我认为B也对，你看呢？

对。但二者意义上稍有不同。at the end of the week 意为“在周末”， by the end of the week 意指“临近，不迟于，最迟到”，有 before 的含义。
