有一读者问：高二英语课本上有一句：
(1)All this must happen with very great speed.
句中介词用了 with。在同一本书上则有一句：
(2)All this must be done at very great speed.
句中却用了介词 at。那么何种情况下用 with?何种情况下用 at?
这里用with和at都对。这也是一种交叉现象。 with 本表“手段”或“方式”，at 本表“速率”等的“率”，但在此都与 great speed 连用表“速度”了。但请注意有些说法则比较固定，如 with speed, with all speed, at full speed （at 有时可省去）， at top speed 等，其中的 with 和 at 一般是不可互换的。
