now that从句是用作时间状语吗？

有一读者问： 有的书上说下面句中的now that you've grown up是时间状语从句：

Now that you've grown up, you must stop this childish behaviour.

为什么呢？

这样分析是不妥当的。now that you've grown up在此是原因状语，因为now that（短语连词）意谓“因为，既然”（because of the fact that）。将此从句认作时间状语从句可能是由于对now(that)误解之故，也可能是由于受到其汉译“现在你已长大成人”的影响之故。
