单词的用法及固定搭配

repellent语气比repulsive轻得多。

repugnance后面接to和动名词，不接不定式

They reproved me for carelessness等句子里的for不可改作with。参见reproach

They reproached me with carelessness，You reproach me with not caring to help you等句子里用with比用for普通。

reprint（名词）指“（没有修订的）重印本”。例如：This library is a series of cheap reprints of standard works.

representative用作名词是“代表”，并不像delegate有“被派当代表”的意思。参见represent 1和delegate

说“请求”或“抗议”习惯用复数形式representations。

represent作“代表（某人）”解，比较下面两句：

reporter（访员）后面接to，on或for和报纸名。

注意He did interesting reportage（报道）on international affairs里用did和on。

report（动词）不作“向…报告”解，如“我将向你报告”，不可说I shall report you，该在report后面加上to。I shall report you作“我将告发你”解。

reply作“回答”解是及物动词。例如：He had nothing to reply.和He did not know what to reply.
