(1) bear away, bear off, carry away, carry off均可表示“把人或东西运走、搬走、载走”。
- It took ten cars to bear the wedding guests away/off .(也可用carry...away)
用了10辆汽车才把参加婚礼的宾客载走。 - A horse-drawn carriage was coming along the road to bear away the royal party.
一辆马车沿街而行把皇室成员载走了。
(2) bear away/off, carry off均可表示“赢得(奖项等)”,是较正式的用语。
- Tim bore away almost all of the prizes at the races.
蒂姆几乎赢得了赛跑的所有奖项。
(3) bear away用于船只时,可表示“起航”,等于move away。
- When all the passengers were on board, the boat bore away .
所有乘客上船后,船开了。
(4) be borne away, be/get carried away均可表示“被某种感情控制而不能理智思维或行动,被……冲昏头脑而不能自已”,是较正式的用语。
- Lady Alice was borne/carried away with joy when her child was given back to her.
当把她的孩子还给她时,艾丽斯女士高兴得不能自已。 - He was so carried away by fear that he did not know what he was saying.
他被吓昏了,不知道自己在说什么。 - I didn't intend to buy so many things, but once I started, I just seemed to get carried away .

(5) carry sb. off his feet意为“使某人充满强烈的激动、兴奋等感情;受宠若惊,高兴至极;不胜惊奇等”,有时也表示“使某人极为难过”。也可用sweep/knock sb off his feet。
- Joan was carried/swept off her feet when the football captain started flirting with her.
当足球队长开始跟她调情时,琼激动得不知如何是好。 - When he was given the prize, it knocked him off his feet for a few minutes.
