(1) conspire against, intrigue against, plot against意思均是“与他人密谋或勾结一起反对(某人、国家等)”。

  • A group of men were charged with conspiring against the duly elected government.
    一些人被指控密谋反对合法选举的政府。
  • The men were imprisoned for intriguing/plotting against the government.
    这些人因密谋反对政府而被囚禁。

 (2) connive with, conspire with, intrigue with, plot with均表示“与(某人)勾结在一起，与(某人)密谋(意图做某事)”，可以换用。
