each other原指两人之间“互相，彼此”；one another原指三人(或以上)之间“互相，彼此”，在现代英语中已不加区别地互相换用。

• We help each other all the time.
  我们一直互相帮助。
• The two men shook hands with one another/each other .
  这两个人互相握手。

＊each other, one another只作宾语，不作主语。当泛指而不是在指特定的某些人时，人们喜用one another。

• They sat for two hours without talking to each other/one another .
  他们坐了两个小时，也不和对方说一句话。
