区别辨析 even, even if, even though, even as 与 even so

  • He was here, even now.
  • Even the slightest offence would make him fly into a rage/temper/passion.

  • Even I am not disturbed by John's threats. (let alone anybody else)
  • I am not even disturbed by John's threats. (let alone annoyed, alarmed)
  • I am not disturbed even by John's threats.

  • He is ready, even eager, to help you.

  • You could have done it even better, if you had tried hard.

⑤even与not连用。

  • He can't even write his own name.
  • haven't even seen one flower yet this year — not even a snowflake.

 (2) even if, even though两个短语中,even为副词,分别强调if和though,意为“即使,纵使,尽管”。

  • Even though I didn't know anybody at the party, I had a good time.
  • Even if I become a millionaire, I shall always be a socialist.

  • It would not matter even if/though he should refuse.

②even if, even though作“尽管”解时,均可以引出事实。

  • Jack is an honest man; I say it, even though/if I have opposed him.
  • They all came at once to his help even though/if many of them were not on speaking terms with him.

的时候” (just at the moment, at the same time as...),引出从句。

  • Even as the sun was shining brightly, it began to rain.
  • He fell even as I stretched out my hand to help him.

(4)even so为一副词短语,意为“然而(however),尽管那样(in spite of that)”。

  • He is a very nice person. Even so , I don't really trust him.
