(1) ①get on 用于上车、上马、上船等。
- A: Where did you get on ?
你在哪儿上的车?
B: At Birmingham.
在伯明翰。 - Tom is old enough to get on his pony without help.
汤姆长大了,可以不需要帮助就骑上他的小马了。 - I got on at Jinan and got off at Zhengzhou.
我在济南上车,在郑州下车。
②但下例不宜用get on,而应用get, take。
- The buses were so crowded today that it took me quite a long time to get/take one.
今天公共汽车非常拥挤,我花了很长时间才赶上一辆。
(2) get in, get into用于坐上火车、电车、汽车等。
- Get in , please. The train is going to start.
请上车,火车就要开了。 - She got into the tram/bus/boat just now. (美式英语用get on)
她刚刚上了电车/公共汽车/船。
(3) go by意为“坐火车、汽车等去……”,美式英语也用go/get on board表示坐上车、船、飞机等,如:to go by bus/train;to go/get on board (a) ship/plane/train。
- Let's go/get on board the train/the ship.
咱们上火车/船吧。
(4) ①mount意为“骑上(马、自行车等)”,用作及物动词和不及物动词。
- He mounted the bicycle and rode away.
他跨上自行车,骑走了。 - The soldiers stood beside their horses, waiting for the order to mount (up) .
士兵们站在自己的马旁,等待上马的命令。
②mount也可表示“让……骑上(动物或自行车等)”。
- The prince mounted his guest on his best elephant.
王子让他的客人骑上了他最好的大象。 - The soldiers were mounted on fine black horses.
士兵骑上了黑色的骏马。
③mount on用于“骑马”:to mount on a horse,也可用ride on,如ride on horseback。 骑马、骑自行车、乘船/车也可用ride,如:ride a horse/bike。
(5) ride in也可用于表示乘汽车、船等,如:ride in a car/boat。
(6) embark表示“(使)上船”,也可用get on to the ship。用作及物动词时,常用被动。
- They embarked at Hongkong for New York.
他们在香港坐船去纽约。 - The soldiers were embarked/got onto the ship very quickly.
士兵们很快上了船。
(7) board可表示“登上(火车、汽车、船、飞机等)”。
- We boarded the plane at 18:00 hours.
我们在18点登上了飞机。
