ignorant, illiterate, unlettered 与 uneducated 这些词都有“无知的”意思。

 (1) ignorant指对普通知识或对应当知道的知识不知晓。

• When you know you are ignorant in a subject, start educating yourself by finding an expert in the field or find a book on the subject.
  当你知道自己在某一问题上欠缺知识时, 那就去找一位这一领域的专家或者找一本有关这一问题的书，开始自我教育。

 (2) illiterate指目不识丁的，没学过读写的，没文化的。

 (4) uneducated指没有受过正规系统的学校教育的。

• You can tell from his gross language that the man was uneducated .
