 (2) ①revenue特指国家的收入。

• The government gets/obtains revenue from taxes.

②revenue也可用于表示个人收入，常用复数，指收入总额。

 (3) earnings是指“(通过工作)赚的钱”，通常用复数形式，作主语时，谓语用复数。

• After a month's work, my earnings were $200.
  干了一个月，我挣了200美元。
• He has spent all his earnings .
  他把挣的钱全部花光了。
• Income taxes are based on one's earnings .
  所得税根据一个人挣钱多少而定。

 (4) proceeds意为“所得， 收益”，指演出、义卖、音乐会等筹集的钱，用作复数，作主语时，谓语动词也用复数。

• The proceeds from the school play are to be used to buy a new curtain for the stage.
  学校的演剧收益将用来为舞台购置一个新的幕布。
• I made ten dollars and six pennies by my first review, and I bought a Persian cat with the proceeds .
