(1) neglectful意思是“忽略，疏忽，不注意”，与of连用。

• Lately he's been neglectful of his family.
  近来他疏忽了家庭。
• Some boys are neglectful of their appearances.
  有些男孩不注意他们的仪表。

 (2) negligent与neglectful意思相近，意为“粗心大意的，疏忽的，随便的”，与of或in连用。

• He was habitually negligent of his personal appearance.
  他往往不注意个人仪表。
• He was negligent in his work/of his duties.
  他在工作中/履行职责上粗心大意。
• He has been negligent in not locking the door as he was told to do.
  他一直不按吩咐的去做，粗心大意不锁门。

 (3) negligible意为“微不足道的，极小的，可忽略不计的，不重要的”。

• The damage to my car is negligible .
  我的汽车的损坏不大。
• His contribution to the effort was negligible .
  他对这事的贡献微乎其微。
• In buying a suit, a difference of twenty cents in prices is negligible .
  在买一套衣服时，两毛钱的差价是微不足道的。
