区别辨析 on to 与 onto

(1) onto表示方向和场所，分开写时on是副词，表示动作继续，to为介词。

• They finally got onto the bus.
  他们终于上了公交车。
• The cup slipped onto the floor.
  杯子滑到地板上。

As soon as the rain stopped, we drove on to Beijing. (on为副词；to为介词，表示方向)雨一停我们就又继续向北京驶去。

 (2) 但在下面句子里，to却是不定式的一部分。

• He went on to tell us of his miserable childhood.
  他接着又对我们讲了他悲惨的童年。
