(1) ①recover表示“恢复,重新获得”,用于精神、力量、知觉、健康、胃口、视力、名誉(reputation)等。以当事人作主语,一般不用被动语态。
- It's going to be some time before I recover my full strength/health/spirits.
我完全恢复体力/健康/精神,还需要一段时间。 - When he recovered consciousness, the first thing he asked was the condition of the passengers.

②recover又有“重新找到;收复,收回;赚回”的意思,有时可用被动语态。

(2) ①restore表示“恢复,修复,复职,找回”,常含有被动的意味。

②restore又作“放还原处,归还,找回”解。

(3) be well again, get well, be/get right (again)意为“痊愈”,日常口语中常用。get/feel/be better是“好些了”;get/be over, over是介词,后接疾病,表示“克服,战胜”,这些短语均以人作主语。
- Don't worry; you'll certainly be quite well again.
不用担心,你肯定会完全康复的。 - Hasn't he got well (again)?
他还未痊愈吗? - I'm sure you'll be all right (again) in a week or so.
我相信你一周左右就会好的。 - He has got/been over his influenza.
他的流感已经好了。
(4) recuperate表示“(在病后、疲倦后)恢复体力;健康;复原;休养”,可用作及物动词和不及物动词。
- He is gradually recuperating (his health) after a long illness.
久病之后他正逐渐康复。 - He has gone to the seaside to recuperate .
他已去海边休养去了。 - The country has recuperated after years of financial losses.
这个国家在经历多年财政亏损后恢复了元气。
