(1) sick of意为“厌烦，厌腻”，与tired of同义，只是前者语气较强。这两个短语多与连系动词连用作表语。

• I'm sick of being blamed for everything that goes wrong.
  只要是每件事情出错都责怪我，我真是烦透了。
• I was extremely tired, and sick of everything.
  我极端疲乏，对任何事情都没兴趣。
• I'm tired of doing that kind of things.
  我已厌倦了做那种事情。

 (2) fed up (with)表示“对……受够了，对……厌烦了、腻了”，多与系动词be, get, feel等连用作表语。

• I've got fed up with such gloomy and cold weather.
  我已烦透了那种阴暗、寒冷的天气。
• We're fed up with his bragging.
  我们听腻了他的自吹自擂。
• I don't know why I feel so fed up today.
  我不知道为何今天感到这么烦。

 (3) 另外，动词短语tire of和sicken of也可表示“对……厌烦”。

• She never tires of talking about that dear son of hers.
  一谈起她亲爱的儿子她从来都不厌其烦。
• He sickened of having to please his boss, so he left that company.
  他厌倦了必须取悦他的老板，于是他离开了公司。
