(1) take/make a grab at表示“向(某物)抓去、抢”,含有试图抓住,但不一定成功的意味。

②keep a (firm) grip on还可作“(严格)控制”解。

(4) have/get a (good) grip of sth.意为“精通,掌握”,在此短语中,介词有时也用on。
- You must have a good grip of mathematics before you can learn computer science well.

(5) get/take a (good) grip on表示“抓住,控制,掌握,支配”。

(6) ①catch/get/grab/grasp/keep/lay/seize/take hold of也较常用,比单用hold更灵活。比如hold前可加firm, fast, tight之类的修饰语,这样音韵上也更和谐。这些短语均表示“抓紧,抓住”。其中grab hold of, seize hold of含有突然的意味;keep hold of则强调动作的持续性。
- He caught/got/seized hold of the thief by the neck.
他抓住小偷的脖子。 - He laid/took/grasped/grabbed hold of the rope and pulled the boat ashore.
