(1) tide over意为“(帮某人)渡过(困难)”，over可作副词，也可作介词(后接宾语)，仅用主动语态。

  这笔钱应该能帮你度过失业的这段时期。

②bridge over还可作“弥合(分歧)”解。

• We can do nothing to bridge over their differences since there is such a great deal of bad feeling between them.

 (3) pull through意为“(使从重病中)康复；(使)摆脱(困境)、恢复元气”，短语中的pull可作及物动词，也可作不及物动词，through可作副词，也可作介词。

 (4) pull round意为“使恢复健康、知觉、元气等”，其中的round为副词。

• Our teacher was very ill for a time, but she is pulling round nicely.

• Careful nursing and the skill of her doctor have miraculously pulled her round after the operation.
  经过精心护理，加上医生的技术，手术后她奇迹般地恢复了健康。

 (5) help through意为“帮某人渡过(难关)”。

• We're counting on you to help us through .
  我们指望你帮我们渡过难关。

 (6) help out (of) 意为“帮某人摆脱(困境)；克服(困难)”。

• Will you be so kind as to help me out of a difficulty?
  你能帮我克服一个困难吗？
• Can you help me out with my English homework?
  你能帮我做英语作业吗？
• I'm not really hired/employed here; I'm just helping out until the new secretary arrives.
  我不是这里的职员；只是临时帮个忙，直到新秘书的到来。

 (7) help over意为“帮助克服、渡过(困难)”。

• We must do something to help them over their difficulties.
  我们一定要做些事帮他们克服困难。
• Thank you for helping over that difficult matter.

 (8) bring through意为“使得救、使渡过(危机)、使脱离(危险)”，其中，through可以是副词，也可是介词。

• She was very ill for a time, but the very finest treatment has brought her through .
  她一度病得很重，但一流的治疗使她脱离了危险。
• I believe that our unity and courage will certainly bring us through the crisis.
  我相信我们的团结和勇气一定能使我们渡过危机。

 (9) carry through意为“使渡过(困难、危险等)”，through可以是副词，也可是介词。

• Perseverance and pluck are very important in carrying a man through difficulties.
  毅力和勇气是使人渡过难关的非常重要的因素。
• We'll certainly do what we can to carry you through .
  我们一定尽一切努力帮你渡过难关。
