区别辨析 unfortunately, unluckily 与 luck/ill luck would have it

(1) unfortunately意为“不幸的是,遗憾的是,偏巧”。

  • Unfortunately I didn't understand her intentions.
    遗憾的是我不理解她的意图。
  • I'd like to come but unfortunately I can't.
    我很想来,但遗憾的是我无法前来。
  • Unfortunately I was away from home when he called.
    很不巧,他来访时我不在家。

 (2) unluckily指“不幸的是,凑巧的是”。

  • Of the state of affairs, we unluckily hear nothing.

  • I do want to go to the party, but unluckily I've hurt my leg.

 (3) as luck/ill luck would have it意为“偏巧,好像命运安排的一样”,表示“有幸”或“不幸”。

  • As luck would have it , a doctor happened to be there when she fainted.

  • As ill luck would have it , there was a sudden gust when the fire broke out.
