(1) wash off指“洗去”，wash既可作及物动词，又可作不及物动词；off可是介词，也可是副词。

• I let some ink fall on the tablecloth, and I'm not sure if I can wash it off .
  我把墨水滴在了桌布上，我不敢保证我是否能把它洗掉。
• Go and wash the mud off your face at once!
  马上去把你脸上的泥洗掉！

 (2) wash out可表示：

①洗掉。

• Have you washed out the rust stains on my shirt?
  你已将我衬衫上的锈斑洗掉了吗？
• Don't trouble about those coffee stains. We can soon wash them out .
  不要为那些咖啡污点费事了，我们很快就会洗掉的。

②被洗掉。

• Do you think this stain will wash out of my shirt?
  你认为我衬衣上的污迹能被洗掉吗？

③把……洗干净。

• Remember to wash the bottle out properly before returning it to the milkman.
  记住，在把瓶子还给送奶人之前要冲洗干净。

④冲坏，冲毁。

• Heavy rain washed out three important roads overnight.
  大雨一夜之间就冲垮了三条要道。
• You can't use the bridge any more; it's been washed out in the floods.
  你不能再用这座桥了，它已在这次洪灾中被冲毁了。

⑤洗得褪(色)。

• The colour has washed out and looks faded.
  这颜色被洗掉了，看上去褪色不少。
• After the shirt had been cleaned, its bright blue was washed out .
  这件衬衫被清洗后，它的亮蓝色被洗褪了。

⑥因下雨使不能进行。

• I'm afraid this rain will wash out the volleyball match again.
  我担心这场雨又会使排球赛无法进行。

 (3) come off可表示“能去掉，能除去(洗掉)，可取下”，off为副词。

• Do you think that dirty mark will come off ?
  你认为那污迹能去掉吗？
• The top part of the machine comes off easily for cleaning.
  这台机器的上部能被轻易地取下清洗。

 (4) come out除其他意思外，还可表示“能去掉，能除去”。

• I have washed this shirt twice and the ink stains still haven't come out .
  这件衬衫我已洗了两遍，但仍洗不掉上面的墨迹。

 (5) get off有“清除掉(污迹等)”的意思，这里get为及物动词，off为副词，也可作介词。

• There are some ink stains on my shirt that I can't get off .
  我衬衣上有些洗不掉的墨迹。
• Can you get the ink off my shirt?
  你能除掉我衬衣上的墨水吗？

 (6) get out (of), take out (of)也有“清除掉(污迹)”的意思。

• This special cleaning liquid should get that spot of oil out of the cloth.
  这种特殊的洗涤液应该能除掉这块布上的油渍。
• There's a nasty spot of oil on my shirt, and I don't think the usual washing powder will take it out .
  在我衬衫上有一点脏油污，而且我认为一般的洗衣粉洗不掉它。
• Will the usual washing powder take this nasty mark out of the tablecloth?
  普通洗衣粉能洗掉台布上的这一污迹吗？
